It’s been a while since we first developed the concept of here2there.me – since then we have gone from strength to strength.
We were successful in our bid to the North Wales Transformation Project for Learning Disability Services and piloted the prototype app in 6 supported living homes in North Wales. We also piloted it in a number of children’s homes in North Wales.
Late in 2020 we were successful in winning an all Wales competition run by the Welsh Government’s SBRI team called ‘Better Lives Closer to Home‘. As part of Phase One of that programme we piloted the prototype App with Denbighshire County Council’s work support programmes.
During all this time we received regular user feedback that allowed us to develop the App in order to meet user’s needs. An invaluable process of learning over a year or more.
We have now submitted a bid for Phase Two funding from SBRI in order to develop the App fully. This will enable us to make it available as a final product in January 2021. We have 9 providers wanting to partner us with this phase including 4 local authorities in Wales. Watch this space and check out our website at www.here2there.me.uk
