Northamptonshire Appreciative Inquiry Champions Programme

Northanta

Taith delivered the first of an exciting new ILM approved Appreciative Inquiry Champions Programme to Northamptonshire County Council at the end of May. The programme was commissioned by LGSS (one of the largest public sector shared services ventures of its kind in the UK) in order to support Northants commitment to the AI process.

The 3 day AI course is part of an ongoing programme of learning that involves action learning sets and the application of AI in the workplace. All those involved will meet again in October in order to reflect on how they have been able to incorporate AI into their day to day work and cascade the process.

Wick van der Vaart of the Institute of Interventionism in Amsterdam also attended the first two days. Roger Rowett (Taith) and Wick are developing the programme in the UK and the Netherlands as part of a range of collaborative ventures.

Roger said “it was wonderful to work with a group of positive individuals who were so committed to improving on the great work the Council has already done with AI. The workshop enabled people to particularly focus on action planning in order to improve the sustainability of the process”.

An interim evaluation by participants at the end of the 3 day course was extremely positive. This will be reviewed again in October 14 in order to evaluate how sustainable the process has been.
