We
provide a range of training programmes, either as standard
modules or specifically designed to meet the needs of the
client.
All training has an action learning
element- i.e. it is interactive and involves putting theory
into practice. Often this application of knowledge into the
workplace is embedded into programmes.
Our training centres on Appreciative
Inquiry and Person Centred Planning. Many of our programmes
are Approved Development Programmes through the Institute
of Leadership and Management (ILM). We also design programmes
to meet the knowledge and skills elements of the QCF and CQFW.
Apart from the following standard programmes we are able
to develop bespoke solutions to clients' needs.
Approved ILM Development Programmes
- Introduction to using Appreciative Inquiry to facilitate
organisational development - This one day introductory
course takes participants through the AI 5D model, giving
them an overview of the theoretical basis of the approach,
and involving them in an actual Appreciative Inquiry exercise.
- Using Appreciative Inquiry to facilitate organisational
development - Two day course that provides more in depth
knowledge and skills. Also provides more insight into using
the technique for specific organisation issues.
- Applying Appreciative Inquiry to facilitate organisational
development - This four day course takes participants
through the AI 5D model, giving them an in depth view of
the theoretical basis of the approach, and involving them
in an Appreciative Inquiry exercise. It also involves participants
in designing their own AI workshop for delivery within their
organisations. AI can be used to facilitate 'whole organisation'
self evaluation, or be applied in a thematic way. The latter
can involve looking at any aspect of the business including
issues such as health and safety, change management, equality
and diversity, customer service, etc.
- Person-Centred Thinking and Planning for Managers.
Two day staggered course with elements that require participants
to implement the theory into their workplace. Knowledge
and skills linked to QCF level 3 unit for potential accreditation.
Taith has written guidance
for the care sector in Wales on PCP, in partnership with
the Care Council for Wales.
General programmes
- Listening skills
- Responding to regulation and inspection within the care
and education sectors (2 different courses)
- Using Social Media within business (for beginners)
- Bespoke solutions based on clients' requirements

Very informative and thought
provoking. Can use information given straight away to
improve the service to clients.
I though the course was informative.
As I have only been at the school for 2 months it gave
me an insight on care plans for the students. It is
nice to know that their wishes and aspirations are taken
into account. That the staff can be a voice for the
children as their advocate, and be taken seriously.
Have achieved a better understanding
of the standards especially complaints and supervision.
A better way of working to familiarise yourself with
the standards rather than reading them, more enjoyable
and easier to remember.
This day was extremely valuable.
It has exceeded my expectations of the day. It has made
me feel more comfortable about CSIW inspections and
what I need to be doing for others and myself. Great,
would recommend this day to others.
Enjoyed the informal atmosphere
and the opportunity to take part in the discussion.
Also found it useful to be able to talk about personal
scenarios and these into the standards.
